International Visitors at Coleg Cambria Llysfasi

Coleg Cambria Llysfasi welcomed a choir from Brisbane, Australia to stay at the residential facilities at the site during Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
Éncorah Secondary School Choir from St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School have been touring cities in Europe over the past week. They have been performing and sightseeing in Paris, London and Bath before arriving in North Wales to compete in the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
34 girls between the age of 12 to 18 and 5 members of staff made the long journey accross continents and the visit to the Eisteddfod at the end of their trip was the climax of their visit.
The choir competed in the Children’s Folk Song Choir and two members also took part individually in instrumental competitions.
Brad King, Head of Music at the School who organised the visit said:
‘’This has been a fantastic trip and a great experience for the girls. Throughout their time here they have created memories that they will have for the rest of their lives. The Welsh welcome was the best and a great end to a wonderful experience.”’
