Diwrnod Ceidwad Anifeiliaid yng Ngholeg Cambria Llysfasi
March 4, 2015
Cynhaliodd Coleg Cambria Llysfasi Ddiwrnod Ceidwad Aneifeiliaid yn ddiweddar ar gyfer plant 5- 11oed. Manteisiodd 7 blant ar y cyfle gwych hwn, gan ddod draw i’r coleg i fwynhau eu hunain ac i ddysgu rhagor am y casgliad anifeiliaid ar safle Llysfasi.
During their time here the children got to see first-hand how the staff at the college care for the animals whilst also getting the chance themselves to enjoy feeding, handling, grooming and meeting the different animals. Yn ystod eu hamser yma, cafodd y plant weld o lygad y ffynnon sut mae staff y coleg yn gofalu am yr anifeiliaid a chawsant gyfle hefyd i fwynhau eu bwydo, eu trin, eu tacluso a chyfarfod â’r gwahanol anifeiliaid.
They met the alpacas and goats who are outside and helped with feeding and grooming the rabbits. They also handled all sorts of different animals which took most of the morning; this included the reptiles, spiders and cockroaches. Lots of questions were asked during their time here and as a result they gained vast knowledge about the different creatures. Cawsant gwrdd â’r alpacas a’r geifr a oedd y tu allan, a helpu i fwydo , a thwtio’r cwningod. Cawsant drin pob math o wahanol anifeiliaid hefyd a chymerodd hynny’r rhan fwyaf o’r bore; roedd hyn yn cynnwys yr ymlusgiaid, pryfed cop a chwilod duon. Gofynnodd y plant lawer o gwestiynau tra buont yma yma ac o ganlyniad i hynny cawsant lawer iawn o wybodaeth am y gwahanol greaduriaid.
Dywedodd Kath Roberts Hyfforddwr / Arddangoswr, a drefnodd y diwrnod:
‘’It was a great opportunity to involve local children in the day to day care of the animals. The children all enjoyed themselves and it was fantastic to see their enthusiasm and interest for the animals they were caring for.
‘’The feedback following the day has been really positive with one parent contacting us to say her daughter hasn’t stopped talking about her time here at the college, she had a fantastic day that’s totally inspired her.’’
‘’It was a really fun day and great being an Animal Keeper at Llysfasi. I really enjoyed meeting all the different animals they have and handling and caring for them,’’ added Sam Kettle aged 7 from Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd who participated in the day.
All who were part of the Animal Keeper day gave a donation towards the college’s chosen charity, Teenage Cancer Trust.
